Day 1 Airport - Negombo:
After your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by your chauffeur/guide. Following a short transfer to Negombo Beach, check in to your first hotel in Sri Lanka.
Overnight at the Goldi Sands Beach Hotel, Negombo.
Day 2 Negombo Beach:
Spend a relaxing day on the beach and acclimatize in style. Ask your driver for free snorkel sets, enjoy Al-Fresco Dining and refreshing sun-downers while watching one of Negombo's famous sunsets. For those interested in history, a sightseeing tour by car to the colonial Fort and the Dutch Canal can be arranged.

Day 3 Negombo - Kaudulla National Park - Sigiriya:
After breakfast leave for Sigiriya. In the afternoon Jeep Safari at the Kaudulla National Park. Large numbers of Sri Lankan elephants are attracted to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season. The Minneriya tank contributes to sustain a large herd. Elephants gathered here is numbering around 150-200. Some reports account number of elephants to as high as 700. They migrate here from Wasgamuwa National Park and benefit from food and shelter of the park's forest.

Day 4 Sigiriya Rock Fortress:
After breakfast climb the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sigiriya Rock in Sri Lanka’s ‘Cultural Triangle’, where you will have stunning views of Central Sri Lanka. Sigiriya (sometimes called Lion’s Rock) is the ruins of an ancient palace in a 200m high rock fortress, overlooking the beautiful plains of North-Central Sri Lanka. Built for anexiled Indian prince, the breathtaking ruins are one of Sri Lanka’s main tourist attractions and date back to AD 477. Despite its age, Sigiriya still retains much of its former beauty and features some of the finest examples of ancient art in the form of wall paintings, as well as a network of attractive gardens and reservoirs, and Sigiriya’s namesake – a gigantic pair of lion’spaws cut into the rock. With its fascinating history and unerring beauty, Sigiriya is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world and the UNESCO-sponsored Central Cultural Fund has even restored Sigiriya’s 5th century Water Gardens, so that you can get a glimpse of what Sigiriya might have been like thousands of years ago. Overnight at the Kassapa Lions Rock View-point Hotel, Sigiriya.
Day 5 Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa:
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. Sightseeing of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (10th-12thcentury A.D). You will visit the modern museum, the Parakrama Samudra (gigantic reservoir build by king Parakrama the Great), Statue of King Parakrama, the Library Shrine, Palace of King Parakrama, the Kumara Pokuna (pond used by the royal family with the water flowing system), the Shiva temple, the Thuparama shrine room with its glittering statues, the Alahana Monastery Complex, the Gal Vihare (a masterpiece of stone carving), the Lotus Pond. In the afternoon return to Sigiriya.

Day 6 Sigiriya - Elephant Orphanage - Negombo:
After breakfast leave for Negombo. On the way visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the largest elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka, accounting for around fifty elephants at any given time. The orphanage is open all day but it is best to time your visit with the twice daily feeding and bathing. At 9.15 am and 4.15 pm, the baby elephants are taken into the stalls where they are tethered and then bottle-fed with milk, providing endless photo opportunities. This might be a crowd pleaser but it's not the highlight; what really steals the show is the bathing of the baby elephants.
