All visitors to Sri Lanka must obtain an ONLINE VISA (ETA) prior to arrival.
There is no VISA-ON-ARRIVAL under any circumstances, as repeatedly stated by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA). -
For all fully vaccinated foreign arrivals in Sri Lanka, all mandatory restrictions were lifted with the exception of proof of vaccination, together with a negative PCR test report taken not less than 72 hours prior to departure from the country of origin. The valid document must be presented at the time of your Visa Application as well as on your arrival at a Sri Lankan Airport.

Not- or not fully vaccinated tourists arriving in Sri Lanka MUST get a PCR Test on arrival, a local COVID Insurance and are required to stay for the first 14 days at T1 classified (Safe & Secure) hotels only.
