Day 1 Airport - Negombo:
After your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be met by your chauffeur/guide. Following a short transfer to Negombo Beach, check in to your first hotel in Sri Lanka.
Overnight at the Catamaran Beach Hotel, Negombo.
Day 2 Negombo - East Coast:
After breakfast start your journey across the island with destination Passikudah on the East Coast. Passikudah & Kalkudah are a small coastal villages situated about 35km from Batticaloa.
Famous for its golden bay and clear, shallow waters in which you can wade 50 m out to sea. It is a virgin beach and renowned throughout the country for its beauty.
From here you can visit Batticaloa, which is home to a historic Dutch Fort and a lagoon that reportedly has singing fish in it.

Day 3 - 8 Passikudah & Kalkudah Beach:
In the coming six days you can relax at the hotel pool, enjoy some of Sri Lanka's most attractive beaches, or engage in onsite indoor/outdoor activities. The Passikudah Beach Hotel offers a wide range of water sports activities: Embark on a deep-sea fishing excursion, race through the crystal clear ocean on a jet ski, explore the wonders of the underwater world by scuba diving or try thrilling activities such as windsurfing or water-skiing. Push your limits and make it an absolutely adventurous holiday experience.
If you are a wreck diver, then there are some excellent wreck diving spots, including the wreck of the HMS Hermes, a WW2 British naval ship.

Day 9 Passikudah - Sigiriya:
After breakfast leave for Sigiriya. In the afternoon embark on a Jeep Safari at the Kaudulla National Park. Large numbers of Sri Lankan Elephants are attracted to grass fields on the edges of the reservoir during the dry season. The elephants gathered here are numbering around 150-200. Some reports account the number of elephants to as high as 700. They migrate here from Wasgamuwa National Park and benefit from the food and shelter of the park's forest.

Day 10 Sigiriya Rock Fortress:
In the morning climb the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sigiriya Rock in Sri Lanka’s ‘Cultural Triangle’, where you will have stunning views of Central Sri Lanka. Sigiriya (sometimes called Lion’s Rock) is the ruins of an ancient palace in a 200m high rock fortress, overlooking the beautiful plains of North-Central Sri Lanka. Built for anexiled Indian prince, the breathtaking ruins are one of Sri Lanka’s main tourist attractions and date back to AD 477. Despite its age, Sigiriya still retains much of its former beauty and features some of the finest examples of ancient art in the form of wall paintings, as well as a network of attractive gardens and reservoirs, and Sigiriya’s namesake – a gigantic pair of lion’spaws cut into the rock. With its fascinating history and unerring beauty, Sigiriya is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world and the UNESCO-sponsored Central Cultural Fund has even restored Sigiriya’s 5th century Water Gardens, so that you can get a glimpse of what Sigiriya might have been like thousands of years ago. Day 11 Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa:
After breakfast leave for Polonnaruwa. Sightseeing of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa (10th-12thcentury A.D). You will visit the modern museum, the Parakrama Samudra (gigantic reservoir build by king Parakrama the Great), Statue of King Parakrama, the Library Shrine, Palace of King Parakrama, the Kumara Pokuna (pond used by the royal family with the water flowing system), the Shiva temple, the Thuparama shrine room with its glittering statues, the Alahana Monastery Complex, the Gal Vihare (a masterpiece of stone carving), the Lotus Pond. In the afternoon return to Sigiriya.

Day 12 Sigiriya - Anuradhapura - Sigiriya:
After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura, an ancient UNESCO Heritage city which was Sri Lanka's capital from the 3rd century B.C to 10th century A.D. You will visit the Sri Maha Bodhi (the oldest tree in the world with a written history , a sapling from the original tree under which Buddha got enlightened), the Brazen Palace, the Ruwanveli Seya Dagoba (biggest dagoba in Sri Lanka), the Thuparama Dagoba (oldest dagoba), the Lankarama Dagoba, the Elephant Pond, the Abhayagiriya Monastery Complex, the world famous Samadhi Buddha Statue and the Isurumuniya Temple (Stone carving of the Sri Lankan Romeo & Juliet). In the afternoon you return to Sigiriya.

Day 13 Sigiriya - Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage - Negombo:
After breakfast leave for Negombo. On the way visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, the largest elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka, accounting for around fifty elephants at any given time. The orphanage is open all day but it is best to time your visit with the twice daily feeding and bathing. At 9.15 am and 4.15 pm, the baby elephants are taken into the stalls where they are tethered and then bottle-fed with milk, providing endless photo opportunities. This might be a crowd pleaser but it's not the highlight; what really steals the show is the bathing of the baby elephants.
