Sri Lanka Itinerary Suggestion 1: Colombo & Top Beaches
This route will follow the coastal road from the airport or Negombo to the 'deep south'. Passing Colombo with an opportunity for some sighteeing and shopping and the top beaches of Sri Lanka on the way. Stop wherever you like, our recommendations are Bentota, Hikkaduwa, historical Galle, Unawatuna and Mirissa. Optional wildlife safari at the Udawalawe National Parks. On your way back to the airport, stop in the Gem City of Ratnapura or embark on a white water rafting trip in Kitulgala.
Sri Lanka Itinerary Suggestion 2: Kandy & Cultural Triangle
Our second recommended 3 Day Sri Lanka itinerary focuses on some of the most important cultural sites. Many of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Depending on your start/arrival time your first stop will be the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, followed by the cave temples of Dambulla, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the ancient capital of Polonnaruwa. From there the route leads to Sri Lanka's 'cultural capital' Kandy with its famous Temple of the Tooth and the Royal Botanical Garden.
