You have the choice between a Simple but Stylish Ceremony of colorful rituals and vows, rows of burning oil lamps, threads of fragrant white jasmine flowers draped over a garden wedding arch or a Traditional Sri Lankan Wedding that will will overwhelm you with exotic Kandian dancers, drummers and a rite of ancient Buddhist rituals and kind blessings.
Begin your new life lighting the lamp together and relax as we take you to a private beach, where for auspicious good luck, you can invite a caparisoned elephant for a sunset beach ride and enjoy chilled champagne served on the sands as the Indian Ocean sips away the setting sun on ‘your day’.

The suggested Wedding Itinerary shown below is a blend of boutique beach hotel and romantic estate bungalow in the hill country. The location on Sri Lanka's South Coast is best between October - May. If you are planning to marry outside the 'winter-season', please let us know and we will suggest fitting alternatives.

BEACH WEDDING & HONEYMOON ITINERARY

DAY 1:
After our driver has met you at the airport's arrival hall, you will start the limousine transfer to your boutique hotel in Bentota. Facing the Indian Ocean, a tropical lagoon and a major river, Bentota Beach offers water sports possibilities nowhere else to be found in Sri Lanka. Also, if you have invited family or friends, the convenient distance to the international airport makes it easy to meet.
Last minute shopping can be done in Bentota town or nearby Colombo.

DAY 2:
A day to acclimatize. Meet the in-house wedding planner, relax at the pool or the beach and party at night next to crashing waves and a stellar view. Your personal driver and the hotel staff will will help you to prepare for the big day ahead, if required.

DAY 3:
Wedding Day! Depending on your arrangements, the Registrar will provide you with an official Sri Lankan marriage certificate followed by the beach wedding ceremony and a 4 Course Meal of choice or a classical High Tea Menu. A romatic candle light dinner or chilled champagne served on the sands as the Indian Ocean will conclude this unforgettable day.

DAY 4:
Your first day as married couple and the options are all yours. Relax around the hotel and glorious beach or embark on a romantic scenery & wildlife tour by boat, getting paddled peacefully within the lagoon mangroves forests. Alternatively your driver will take you along the south coast to visit the colonial Galle Fort. En-route you will passing many picturesque beaches and villages, where you always can stop for a swim or drink.

DAY 5:
After breakfast you will be leaving for Sri Lanka's hill country with its famous tea plantations and the especially mild climate. Passing though the lush green scenery, you can see the traditional village life, magnificent temples and the occasional sapphire gem mine.
Before reaching Nuwara Eliya, the hill country & tea capital, you will be stopping at Sri Lanka's most romantic destination, Hakgala Botanical Garden.
Hakgala Botanical Garden is the exotic pleasure garden where, according to the Indian Ramayana Epic, King Ravana kept the kidnapped Sita, insisting that she marry him. It was here where the heart-warming meeting took place between her and Hanuman, who brought her Rama’s ring with the news that Rama was looking for her. Until this day lovers come to the gardens to make or renew their vows.
At Nuwara Eliya you will be checking into a period Cottage, a former colonial summer retreat and symbol of timeless spirit and dignified elegance.

DAY 6:
Nuwara Eliya features a number of attractions in close proximity. On its edge sits Lake Gregory, a magnificent mountain sea with several activities on both land and water – be it riding a pony around its perimeter, or jet skiing in the cool climes of Sri Lanka’s central highlands. As a more leisurely alternative, the lush Victoria Park also features long promenades to enjoy a brisk stroll in the heart of town, and is especially pleasant in the misty mornings.. Your driver, however, will be happy to take you on a full sightseeing tour. You also can visit the Hatton & World's End National Parks or enjoy the spectacular views from Ella, Sri Lanka's 'highest village'.

DAY 7:
In case you are heading back to the airport, you can visit the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy or the Elephant Orphanage on the way (depending on your departure time). Otherwise you continue with an arranged Sri Lanka Tour Add-On or we will transfer you to your next destination.

Shown Rate is per couple (2 person) and includes: accommodation in Honeymoon Suite (if available at time of booking), transportation by a/c limousine with private driver/guide from Day 01 - Day 07, bottle of champagne and flower garlands on arrival, half board (breakfast & dinner).

Sri Lanka Wedding arrangements start at around US$ 500 and the total amount depends on the ceremony options selected. You can go for a Simple Registration Ceremony or the more lavishly Stylish or Traditional Weddings, which include Authentic Kandian Dancers & Drummers and a Wedding Poruwa (Natural Platform & Arch) & Traditional Decorations. For those who like Beach Parties, Entertainment Extras like a professional DJ, a cover band playing Pop, Classic Rock (70’s, 80’s to Current) or fireworks displays can be provided at cost.

For an official Sri Lankan marriage certificate we will need copies the required documents 7 working days prior to the wedding. This can be done by email or courier service.
We also provide Witnesses for the wedding upon request.
