Overview:
We now offer professional game fishing and deep sea fishing tours operating from Negombo harbor on
Sri Lanka's West Coast. The convenient distance the international airport (15 km) makes it easy to add
one of our fishing trips to the beginning or end of your holiday in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is much admired for its multitude of sub-aquatic life. Its unspoiled sea and fishing zones hold
an abundance of game fish for the keen angler.
Close to the Coast you’ll find Grouper, Snapper Emperor, Bonefish; bit further out Indian Mackerel,
Spanish Mackerel, Seerfish, Kingfish, Barracuda, Baramundi, Jackfish, Trevally, Tuna and far out Sailfish,
Swordfish, Marlin and Shark
During trolling you often can see schools of dolphins accompanying the boat.
The Boat:
The boat is a customized local fishing boat, specifically modified for professional game fishing. Specs are:
20 ft long, 25 hp Yamaha outboard engine, speed max 15 knots.
The boat is equipped with two fighting seats, one bench seating 4, Rod holders for 5 rods at the same
time, sun roof canvas, portable toilet, cool box, compass, fish finder, GPS, life vests, fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit, emergency lights, emergency rations of biscuits and water.
There will be a minimum crew of two on board, the captain and a knowledgeable English and German speaking assistant. Depending on fishing area and weather condition a third crew member will be of additional assistance.
The Equipment:
Only professional fishing equipment including rods, lines, reels, Lures and bites according to the IGFA
(International Game Fish Association) will be used.
Fishing reels and rods from 15 to 120 lbs action, manufactured by PENN, Shimano, OKUMA, Daiwa,
Shakespeare, Multi-Reels with Lever - and Star Drag brakes , Lures from Rapala, Halco and others.
Skirts of all sizes, Gaff, Fighting belts & harness.
All our trip programs can be modified or re-arranged according to the wishes / requirements of the
customer.
Tours:
Morning Tour
The Morning Tour starts at 06.00 am. Fishing area is chosen according to the wishes of the customers
and the likeliness for catching fish. Fishing starts directly after leaving the harbor area with high speed
lures on the way to the fishing site. At the fishing site trolling at trolling speed. Fishes bite best short
before and after dawn, up to 09.00 hrs. Lures will be changed according to requirement.
When the fish goes deep, fishing continues from boat on anchor or drifting with deep going lures, jigging
and speed jigging. Return with low going lures. Arrival back in Negombo at around 12.00 noon.
Afternoon Tour
The Afternoon Tour starts at 03.00 pm. Fishing area is chosen according to the wishes of the customers.
Fishing starts directly after leaving the harbor area with low going lures on the way to the fishing site.
Fishing continues from boat on anchor or drifting with deep going lures, jigging and high speed jigging
up to 5 pm. After this time trolling at low trolling speed around the fishing site. Fishes bite best short
before and after dusk, up to 19.00 hrs. Lures will be changed according to requirement. Return with
radiating lures. Arrival back in Negombo around 8 pm.
This trip is specifically attractive due to the usually very beautiful sunset.

On all tours there will be a maximum of only three anglers per boat trip.
* In case the Sea is too rough for fishing the fishing trip may be cancelled or postponed to another day.
In this case the fee will be refunded.
Transport from and to the Hotel within the Negombo area will be organized by us. Customers from
outside Negombo will have to organize their own transport to Negombo (we will be happy to assists).
