The Esala Perahera (the Festival of the Tooth) is the grand festival of Esala held in Sri Lanka’s hill capital
Kandy. It is. It is a very grand Buddhist festival with elegant costumes and consisting of dances and nicely
decorated elephants. There are fire-dances, whip-dances, Kandyian dances and various other cultural
dances. The elephants are usually adorned with lavish garments. The festival ends with the traditional
'Diya-Kepeema'.

Visit Kandy city and the Temple of the Tooth . In the evening the Kandy Esala Perahera.

After breakfast we leave for the Palm Village Hotel. On the way a visit at a tea factory and plantation in
Giragama. Dinner and overnight at the Palm Village Hotel
Day 06

After breakfast departure to the airport or to your next destination.
