SURF'S UP IN ARUGAM BAY (7 Day Surf Package)

This seasonal Sri Lanka Surf Package is dedicated to Arugam Bay, one of the top ten surf points in the world. Situated on the southeast of Sri Lanka, Arugam Bay receives the same Antarctic winter swells that hit Indonesia's southern shores in the middle of the year. The best time of the year for surf is between May and November when the predominant wind is offshore for at least the first half of the day.
The surf spots between Pottuvil and Arugam Bay are suited for all skill levels - beginner to advanced. An introduction tour to all the different surf spots is part of this Arugam Surf Package and if you want to do some real surfing, there is no better surf beach in the summer season.
If needed, a personal surf trainer can be hired through the hotel. There are also a number of Surf Schools and Board Rental places all over the village. Arugam Bay is perfect for a proactive beach holiday - surf all day and party all night.
Should you bring your own surf gear just let us know. We have special fitted mini-vans with roof racks that will transport your surf boards safely at no extra cost!

SRI LANKA ARUGAM BAY SURF PACKAGE ITINERARY (7 days / 6 nights)

DAY 1: After your driver meets you at the airport, you will proceed to your first hotel in xxx, half-way to Arugam Bay on the East Coast. Depending on your arrival time, you can visit the Elephant Orphanage* or the Dambulla Cave Temple Monastery* (*optional) on the way.
Overnight at the Wewa Addara Hotel in Sigiria

DAY 2: If you are an early riser you can either climb the Sigiriya Rock* or embark on an elephant safari* (optional), otherwise just relax and acclimatize. The surf bus to Arugam Bay will leave around 10 am and before you check-in your Surf Hotel, the driver will show you all the surf points between Pottuvil and Arugam Bay.

• Baby Point (from beginner level)
• Elephant Rock (from beginner level)
• Peanut Farm / Whiskey Point (from advanced level)
• Lighthouse / Okanda / Main Point (from advanced level)
• Panama (from beginner level/submerged rocks)

Overnight at the Roccos Surf Hotel in Arugam Bay

Day 3 - 7: Surf, Surf. Most surf points are in easy walking distance or, if you don't want to rent a scooter, you can hire a Tuk-Tuk to drive you around for little money. Surf Board Rentals (if required) and/or a private Surf Trainer can be arranged through the hotel at 'local rates'.

After you check-out on Day 7, you can either arrange a transfer back to the airport or your next destination in Sri Lanka through us (call our hotline or talk to the driver on your way to Arugam Bay) or extend your stay for another week for US$ 335
