      There are six double rooms at The Beach Lodge, with four ocean-view rooms looking out on to Negombo beach. Three of the sea-facing rooms are upstairs and all have reasonably sized balconies containing a table and chairs.
The Beach Lodge offers in-house Ayuvedic spa treatments, in-house entertainment courtesy of the affable owner, cable TV in the communal seating area, and a mini library with a well-picked variety of English and German classics. The outdoor, sea-facing restaurant is the real piece de resistance of this funky beach lodge. Fishing nets hanging in folds from the wooden ceiling and low-hanging gas lamps give the place an atmospheric touch. Quirky wooden tables, an old-style fisherman’s radio, a fish-shaped water pump and even a boat turned into a table (great for larger parties) make up the décor of this excitingly individual restaurant.
