Bentota River Safaris
The Maadu river offers very popular boat trips down the river where you can arrange to visit temples, cinnamon estates and other nature resorts. This area is a preserved wild life sanctuary.

Water Sports
Apart from swimming, body-surfing or diving in the sea, you can jet-ski, windsurf, parasail or enjoy a romantic river safari on the river and lagoon.

Excursions
Bentota is a great starting point for day trips along the West and South Coast but as well for shopping and sightseeing to Colombo and Kalutara.

Bentota and nearby Aluthgama are not only boasting a selective range of gift and souvenir shops but you also can find local markets, supermarkets and many small shops to explore.
