The Hideaway - Ahangama, Sri Lanka

This beach villa consists of an en suite master bed room overlooking the garden and the sea. Furnished with a four poster antique king size bed, a large antique wardrobe and a coffee table with a kettle so you could walk straight to the garden and to the beach with your morning cuppa. Fully equipped kitchen*, dining area, a covered terraced area overlooking the garden and the sea, living room with a monk’s bed if you want to use it as a single bed sleeping. A spare room as well as a spare bathroom.

The garden is awash with color and shade. Sit in the hammock under the shade of the walnut tree, eat fresh papaya that you’ve picked from the tree or drink the juice of a freshly cut coconut.
From the back gate you can watch fishermen sitting on their stilts waiting for their catch.
As the sun sets, sit on the rocks at the end of the garden drinking your favorite cocktail listening to the waves crash against them.
During the season you can snorkel in the coral seas to see the wonders of the oceans.
Dolphins and turtles also occasionally visit the seas at the end of the garden.

Local shops and restaurants next to Hideaway provide Sri Lankan food for very cheap prices as well as Western food. Sri Lankan food. Alternatively you can ask the caretaker, Mr Sunset to provide food for you.
For western food and wine and internet facilities you can walk to Hotel Gaetano which is a 10 minute walk or 2 minutes three wheeler drive.
